For sale: the Super Pugsley,

SOLD!!!

My new bike is a hair's breath from done, but here is the 18" Pugsley that is for sale (missing cassette in picture). It is much better in spec than what you can by new, and most of the parts are new or close to it. Much lighter than the stock spec and you get a custom 100mm fork with dual bottle mounts on the back with custom superlight racks(all recently powder coated). Are you looking to do an adventure? This is your bike.

$1,350 with racks, $1,200 without.

About the 100mm front fork. The idea of 2 rear wheels sounds great, but in practice the "other" rear wheel never gets used. Using a standard front wheel you get a much lighter set up and can install it on a fork mounted rack without adapters.

Jeez Charly, you are starting to sound like a weight -weenie kinda roadie. Lighter, more carbon, blah, blah, blah. Next you will tell us the new bike will be a Single speed. Are you from south of Minnesota somewhere? :) Juicy

How tall are you? I've been having issues deciding between the 18 or 20. I'm 5'11 1/2 with a 34" inseam. I might be interested in this. Thx. Scott

J.P.-No single speed. I don't have time to figure out the perfect gear combos.

Scott-I am 5'10" with I think a 34" inseam. My seat height is just under 30" when measured from the BB spindle. I was using a 330mm post without a problem.

So if I had this radical bike I could ride 7 mph on the snowmobile trail instead of 6.5 mph like I did last night?

Bob, it depends on conditions. You know those times that you are all over the trail trying to keep the bike upright because the snow is soft and loose. I would be tracking straight and true. So yeah, you would go faster under most conditions. Plus, you would be upgraded from bronze to silver friendship level. The additional benefits are great.

I would love to get one. The problem I have is that I need a 29'er single speed again and at the moment can't justify both when I know the one I will ride all year and the other I won't. But if you want to move me up to Silver status I will let everyone know on Facebook how cool you are.
