I am looking for suggestions for a charity that is most worthy. I have several in mind, but I am partial to helping children who have been dealt a bad card (illness, abused, etc.). This is just the start of a bigger plan I have been thinking of for a long while, so please help me with suggestions.
And since everything needs a funny picture,
BTW.
Ben, Ben, Ben.... shaking my head and walking away slowly...
ReplyDeletePrimary Children's hospital, Shriner's hospitals, or there is a local charity for battered and abused children in Rochester. Make a Wish foundation, or Special Olympics are other options as well. There are also specific charities for specific childhood diseases (diabetes, cystic fibrosis, etc..) I hooked up with the John Wayne Cancer Foundation's Team Duke (also does work with kids) which allows me to raise charity dollars for every event I enter.
Ronald McDonald House
ReplyDeleteI'm only curious as to how much alcohol it takes before you are willing to let Charlie put clamps on your nipples? Anyone?? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, there are those that would love me to do that, alcohol or not.
ReplyDeleteThey don't hurt that much, more of a tingly type hurt.
ReplyDeleteCompassion International is about $30 a month to sponsor a child. You can pick what country you want your child to be from. You get letters from the child translated into English and when you write back they translate it into their language.
ReplyDelete$30 a month goes a long, long way in some of these countries.
