No time. Doing 4 things at once. Off to the cabin right now. Opps, I missed the streak.
To the guy who has a problem with my child being baptised, you need to chill out a little bit. Some people take occasions like that differant then others. She is mine and my actions are not out of line.
Later.

Very little time to blog.
Alright, so I have been busy lately. Christmases at 2 different families, a bunch of driving, a newborn, and trying to get workouts in has left little time to blog. Here is a quick recap of the last couple of days.
Thursday- we drove home an celebrated with my family.
Friday- I taught spinning for an hour and then hit up the elliptical for a little over an hour. Date with my wife at home.
Today was 3 hour ride outside and the in-laws got in town. Tomorrow is Abi's baptism.
Gotta go.

Lots of snow. Visibility again? No. Off to the gym I go (already).
I think the temps are already starting to poke their faces in. I knocked out a couple hours of a combination of B-Ball, weights, core work, and stretching.
Now we eat here and then.................presents! On a serious note, I enjoy just getting together with the families. It frustrates Becky every year when I tell her I don't want anything for Christmas and just to donate the money.
Anywho, Happy Christmas Eve!

Let it snow.
A winter weather advisory here left the outside with falling snow and poor visibility. I didn't feel like getting hit by a car, so it was off to the YMCA . Yeah, talking about the YMCA. They have everything that you need to enjoy. You can hang out with all the boys (and girls).
Two hours on one of their ellipticals. "What? 30 minute limit? Sorry, I can't hear you with my I Pod in.", and then I would just look back at the TV's. No, it wasn't quite like that, but close a couple of times. There was hardly anybody there anywho.
I can't wait for the Temps by the way. What are the Temps, you ask? They are the people who decide to get in shape in the new year and they invadfe the gyms starting January 1st. Usually they are decked out in their new workout gear and music, after having just done their hair and make up. They spend 5 minutes trying to figure out whatever machine they got on, and then they'll ride it extremely easy or hard. By the end of January they will start to really miss there couches and they go missing from the gym for another 11 months. Gotta love the temps.

Not much to say. I am sitting in Oconomowoc, Wi now at the in-laws.
I hit the gym for a little shy of 2 hours today. Elliptical, weights, and b-ball were the name of the game.
Tommorrow is a planned 3 hour ride at 20 degree temps on the Fisher 29'er.
Wednesday is planned for 2 hours at same temps, then presents.
Thursday's workout is up in the air, but more presents are planned for our return to MN.
Friday and beyond is just to far to think about.

Alright, so I deleted the blog. It happened that someguy had deleted his blog after he made Velonews for being drunk and stupid at the National cross races. I took over his blog, so for all of an hour I had a blog that was linked off of a front page Velonews article.
Fame is so fleeting.
BTW, I taught my first indoor cycling class today. Not too bad.

We're back.
Well, I cannot find the camera, so no pics right now.
This was an interesting trip thanks to the weather. Our plan was to go up Friday and be back Sunday with some snoesheoing in between. Saturday we got out on the new snowshoes despite the the fact there was not a lot of snow. Abi was strapped to my chest for the full 2 hours out on the Esker Trail (right behind the house). A stop into Hayward for some gifts, candy, and wine and we were back home again.
Sunday we woke up to the heavens unleashing huge amounts of snow. The weather predictions had us on the outer edge of the system coming through, but those were only predictions. We packed up and headed into town for breakfast at The Brick House (super good). We got the internet fired up and found out that the storm reached much of our driving area. That combined with the fact I think there is one snowplow shared between 3 counties had us back at the cabin for another night. I got to go out for a few hours by myself after the 8-10" fell and it was awesome. I found an old ski trial to walk on behind the cabin and the snow and ice that fell made for some amazing sites.
Monday had the outside thermostate reading -20 degrees. Ouch. It took forever for me to clear the car off because of the snow, ice, and temps. We waited awhile for it to warm up and headed out in shorts and and a t-shirt with the balmy -8 degree weather. We passed many digital signs and all read in the negatives for temps.
Now we are home, safe and sound. And I have to go back to work.

Snowed in.
Looks like we are going to stay up here an extra day. Mother nature is pounding us with snow and the prospect of driving several hours in a blizzard and then another through freezing rain may not be the best thing to do with an 11 week old in the backseat. The Brickhouse breakfast that we just ate is delicious though.

T.O.
So everyone knows that Angela has been messing around on her fiance.
Seriously, would you pay $200 for a "princess unicorn" for you daughter?
I am going to wrap someone's desk in gift wrap here soon. I have to now.
Confused? You should ask yourself what you were doing at 8pm tonight. You need to get your priorities straight. Daytime is for work, nightime is for the world's best entertainment.

Yeah, it was kinda like riding a hog at Eastwood tonight. The snowfall made it feel like you were on a constant steep climb. Theres plans though, oh there is plans. We'll get that thing nice and packed and all those fools from the cities will be coming down to check out our snow trails. Maybe the freeride guys will start hearing about the Eastwood hucks we got going on there.
Oh yeah, and the snowshoes were a blast this morning.
Oh yeah, your company is starting to moniter your internet activity.

We are expected to get 6-9" tonight.
These came today.
Coincidence?
Does anyone remember the episode of "The Little House on the Prairie" where so much snow came down that it blocked the front door and almost ended their Christmas? Guess how 'Pa' got around then. Yup, snowshoes.
After I snow blow at the 3 places I hope to break these in at Eastwood and help pack down the trails. Kill 2 birds, ya know?
Anywho, you should get back to work now.

More stuff for sale.
Chillin.
Yeah, Mom is out shopping with a friend for the day in the land of cheddar. Abi and I are just kick'n it old school style.
This is the first real day that I have with my daughter alone. So far so good.
Did I mention that I am going to be a stay at home dad during the school year? Yeah, I have 2 weeks left of work. After the 1st of the year it is me and baby. I'll be teaching indoor cycling at the RAC to help with everything and helping at the shop some still. When Becky gets off for the summer I'll be back at the shop full time again.
Day 7 of the blogging marathon is done.

Iditaeastwood
This would have been fun to play with today out on the trails, but I am not exactly complaining about the Nokian studded 29'er tires I was running.
What took us 25 minutes to complete, now takes Kuske and I close to an hour to ride. Fun stuff. Get out and ride will ya?

2008
So my 2008 season did not go as well as planned despite a great winter training period. I had problems with...
1. My knee. I crashed in the spring causing damage and swelling in my knee.
Result was I did not start Transiowa and the Ragnarok 105 (both high priorities for me). Also, my season got off to a very slow start as I had no top end.
2. My tailbone. A pulled cleat during a sprint caused a painful collision between my tailbone and seat tip. It was fine on the road, but off-road was another story as I found out when I DNF'd at Afton Alps.
3. The heat. I suffered heat exhaustion at a 12 hour race in Lacrosse and a 24 hour race a few weeks later in Iowa (both high priorities for me). I consider those DNF's even though I technically was not.
4. The rain. The 12 hours of the metro was cancelled at the start because of rain (this was a high priority for me).
5. My back. 24 hours of nine mile stopped short when my back went haywire (a high priority race for me). I have had problems with it the last couple of years. I have a PT program now thanks to my buddy Jon in sports med. It should be all good next year.
So that adds up to 7, yes 7, races that went bad for me.
I am determined to make 2009 my revenge year. First stop, Transiowa.
BTW.

Picture time
I got a chain saw. I left the house last week with it strapped to my back and used it at the Hawthorne Hills trails. My man points just went up.
Tonight there were 6 of us out at Eastwood packing down the trails. Kuske's picture finally makes it into a blog.
My Gary Fisher Rig with gears and Nokian studded tires was getting mad traction while some others floundered. Holy cow! Kuske is in another picture!!
No, I did not talk about kinks. Tommorrow, tommorrow. You should get back to work now.
Tuesday, December 02, 2008
Alright, so I am locked and loaded for Transiowa this year.
Now, I am thinking about something bigger towards the end of the summer. The 24 hour national championships are no longer in my backyard and I had the distinct honor of choking hard at them the last 2 years. I think my kinks will be worked out for next year (more on that tommorrow). So, assuming they are, I was thinking of 24 Hours of Moab. Thoughts from the 3 people that read the blog? Remember, this would be expensive and would have to con(vince) at least one person to be my support.

Get Ready.
I realized that my updating has been lacking oh just a little. So here is my pledge to that one guy that reads the blog. Everyday in December will have a post. Yes, everyday.
I'll start it off slow today as to tell you that my official "training" started a weeek ago.
Now, back to how you make your money.
